Following their success at the Suffolk Community Pharmacy awards in January five inspirational women from across Suffolk were invited to attend the Training Matters Recognition of Excellence awards as finalists on the 25th June.
The winners were announced at a celebratory lunch at Grosvenor House Hotel, London. Fiona Spraggins pharmacy manager from Lloyds Pharmacy in Mildenhall, Bury St Edmunds won the Team Leader award; Tiffany Clark from Combs Ford Pharmacy in Stowmarket won the Healthy Living Advisor award; Beverley Wright, pharmacy assistant from Mill Pharmacy in Hadleigh was Highly Commended in the Service Excellence award category; Sam Collins, non-pharmacist manager from Boots UK in Beccles was Highly Commended in the Infant Care Champion award; and Louise Drake, dispensing assistant from Boots UK in Lowestoft was Highly Commended in the Pharmacy Champion award.
Myra Battle, Service Support Officer for Suffolk Local Pharmaceutical Committee attended the awards ceremony and said “These five lovely ladies, walked away with over 17% of the awards issued at TM RoE Awards, showing Suffolk community pharmacies to be a shining star for what “good” looks like in pharmacy. I could not be more proud. A huge congratulations to them all.”
Simon Dukes, Chief Executive of PSNC said “These amazing examples of patient care and of pharmacy teams going (beyond) the extra mile are what make community pharmacy such a vital part of our healthcare system. Please do pass on my congratulations to the five very worthy winners.”
