Do you have a passion for the NHS and improving health care services in west Suffolk?
If so, you are encouraged to consider applying to become a member of the Community Engagement Group of NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (WSCCG).
WSCCG is responsible for commissioning most local health services including community and mental health services, A&E and the ambulance service.
The Community Engagement Group meets regularly with senior staff from WSCCG. New members are sought who are willing to draw on their own experiences of the NHS either as a patient or carer to influence the decision-making process.
Membership is voluntary and unpaid and involves a minimum two hour meeting every two months, with more time if you can. Travel expenses are paid.
Andrew Eley, WSCCG’s deputy chief operating officer, said: “Members of the group have an important impact on the decisions made by the WSCCG, helping to ensure that local health needs are met.
“We’re seeking people with a keen interest in health care issues and who share our aim for making west Suffolk health care the very best it can be.”
