In response to the challenges facing the NHS and to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission, there will be changes to arrangements for meetings to which members of the public are routinely invited by NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk, NHS West Suffolk and NHS North East Essex CCGs.
The public will not be able to attend the next scheduled meetings:
- NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk CCG – Governing Body (March 24)
- NHS West Suffolk CCG – Governing Body (March 25)
- NHS North East Essex CCG – Local Health Matters (March 25); Governing Body (March 31) and GP Commissioning Committee (April 23)
Instead, members of the public are invited to submit questions by email for each of these meetings.
Additionally, the next meeting of the NHS West Suffolk CCG’s community engagement group (April 30) and NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk CCG’s community engagement partnership (April 6) have been cancelled.
Dr Ed Garratt, chief executive of the three CCGs, said: “It is with regret that we have decided to preclude members of the public from attending some meetings and cancelling others.
“This is an unprecedented time for the NHS both locally and nationally and we hope people will understand the need to do all we can to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission.
“Public input to our meetings is very important and people will still have the opportunity to submit questions by email.”
