Talent for Care & Widening Participation
Health Education England have created two strategic Frameworks known as Talent for Care and Widening Participation: it matters that aim to improve the quality of patient care in a system that faces a challenging future.
The Talent for Care framework has three main areas for action:
• Get in – improving opportunities for people to start their career in a support role
• Get on – supporting people to be the best that they can be in the job they do
• Go further – providing opportunities for career progression, including into the registered professions.
Making the best use of apprenticeships is at the heart of the Talent for Care strategic intentions. The benefits of using apprenticeships to develop existing staff and enable young people to start their careers within the NHS have been widely recognised by practices across the county.
